There Will Be Weather (and Climate)

Still working to photograph jewelry I made more than a year ago.  Not much sunlight the last few days which is bad for both jewelry photography and our house batteries.  Another storm or two coming in this evening.  I was impressed with the special weather statement I received from NOAA, which acknowledged the complexity of predicting weather and shared their thought process about the upcoming storms:

"A long duration and complex winter weather event will slowly get
underway today and will continue into early next week. Rain, snow,
thunderstorms, wind and maybe even freezing drizzle will take
turns impacting NM. Forecasting the form of precipitation over the next few days will
be quite a challenge.  Here's our thinking...." 

NOAA also has an entire division devoted to climate and climate change (https://www.climate.gov/), including materials for k-12 teachers.  Tons of great data to dig into.  I'm hoping that this division is not suddenly made to disappear in the coming months...
