Off Grid Chore

Cleaning snow off the solar panels.

Thought for the future: In a snowy climate, don't mount solar panels on the roof.  Very dangerous once the roof gets a coat of ice.  And M. is sometimes away for work when a storm comes in.  My balance sucks so I can't get on the roof to clean them off myself.   I'll either have to get someone to come help me or rely on the generator. 

It's also not a great place to put them if you get a lot of lightning hits, and your roof is the highest point around.  It looks like our panels took a hit at one point, there's an area on them of cracked, melted, and re-fused glass.
