Cycle of Life

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, and every drop of moisture from the monsoons evaporates, I want to keep in mind the transformation that warmer weather and rain will bring.

I was looking through my pictures this morning and noticed the remarkable transformation that took place from when we first moved in at the end of July (when essentially nothing was growing in the garden except a few sprouts and some weeds, and the general landscape was just starting to turn green), the end of August through September (when everything was lush and green and colorful), and the present (when everything has shriveled and dried up and gone to sleep until the spring).
